Railways traction substation Raasiku (Estonia)

Works performed

Supply of equipment

For the first time PLUTON carried out supply of equipment to Estonia for railway traction substation Raasiku, located at the Tallin/Keila railway section with the length of 26,8 km. It took only 2.5 months from the moment of order receipt till supply of equipment to the site. The project was implemented within a maximally short period — it took only 2.5 months from order receipt to the day of supply.

The scope of supply included modern highly reliable equipment:

  • DC switchgear 3.3 kV — 1 unit;
  • negative busbar switchgear 3.3 kV — 1 unit.

PLUTON switchgears are provided for application at traction substations in railway rolling stock power supply system as switching devices and applied for removing voltage from distributing equipment when carrying out routine maintenance. They meet European and international standards and are safe for operating personnel.
