PLUTON has recently carried out the supply of two single-unit modular traction substations for Mediaș, the small city in Romania, that is, however, the significant historical place and the important transit hub in Central Romania.

Modular substations were provided for the power supply of the newly built part of the trolleybus line that is supposed to be an extension of one of the trolleybus routes.

Right from the very start of design and development works PLUTON experts faced the necessity of meeting Customer’s special design requirements, namely, given the limited space available, we had to ensure the small size of modules. Due to PLUTON, compact DC switchgears 660 V and 12-pulse “diode-diode” withdrawable rectifiers aligned in a row along, we managed to minimize overall dimensions of the modules.

The provided equipment will also include MV cubicles SM6 20 kV by Schneider Electric.

Both modules are equipped with lighting, ventilation and air conditioning, heating systems, as well as with fire alarm systems.

Thanks to our Customers and Partners: Meditur, UTI, Isotech and Schneider Electric Romania for the trust and support!
