Turn-key project. Supply of three-unit modular traction substation, development of design and estimate documentation for the project, installation, commissioning, startup.

PLUTON formally implemented the project on modernization of traction substation in Kramatorsk (Oleksa Tyhiy St., 25v), which provides power supply of the line, which connects Old Kramatorsk and  Kramatorsk city center. Modernization of traction substation allowed reducing power consumption, as well as traction substation maintenance costs.

Project on modernization of Kramatorsk electric city transport traction substation was implemented within the framework of the EU program "Covenant of Mayors — Demonstration Projects" (Com-DeP). Kramatorsk joined this program in 2011.

Modular substation included the following equipment:

  • module — 3 units;
  • switchgear 6 kV series NEX — 1 set;
  • converter transformer — 3 units;
  • rectifier — 3 units;
  • DC switchgear 600 V — 12 units;
  • auxiliaries cabinet — 1 set;
  • remote control equipment set and SCADA software — 1 set.

Distinctive feature of PLUTON modular traction substation is that modules doesn't require significant time expenditures for installation and assembling. All equipement is pre-assembled and tested by PLUTON experts on the territory of PLUTON company. Each module is equipped with air conditioning and lighting systems, intrusion detection and fire alarm signaling, as well as with the fire extinguishing system.

The main benefit of this equipment is its capability of independent operation, without operating personnel, as well as remote control via remote control system.
