Absolute sight of the Crimean Peninsula is a route, which units Crimean capital and Yalta. Trolleybus line, which is the longest interurban mountain trolleybus network in the world stretches along this route. A total length of electrical transport route is 96 kilometers. Currently, trolleybuses are the safest and most reliable ways to reach the southern coast of Crimea from Simferopol.

Mountain trolleybus network Simferopol-Alushta-Yalta infrastructure improvement was involved within the framework of implementation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea economic and social development strategy in the context of transport potential development. Due to the fact, that new trolleybuses are applied with large improved motors, old traction substations didn't keep up with increased loading. As the result, it was decided to carry out replacement of the overhead system and reconstruction of traction substations.

Within the frame of traction substations reconstruction PLUTON carried out supply and commissioning of 37 modern DC switchgears, 7 auxiliary cabinets and 7 operative current cabinets. Applied solutions allowed reducing loads on the overhead system and substations, excluding voltage surge, preventing emergency situations and wire breakage.
